Management and network technology research workshop

A "Management and Network Technology Research Workshop" will be held in Trondheim, Norway, on 22-24 November 1995. The workshop, which is being sponsored by the European Commission's COST A3 action, is being organized by the Institute for Social Research in Industry (SINTEF IFIM) in Norway and the Social Science Research Centre in Berlin (Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin fur Sozialforschung).

The workshop aims to contribute to a better understanding of critical issues related to (inter) networking. It will provide an opportunity for debate between researchers on business culture and researchers on Internet culture. The workshop will span many disciplines within the social sciences and also touch upon disciplinary links with relevant fields of computer science.

Specific topics to be covered by the workshop, include:

- Policy and management issues;
- Networks as social/cultural space;
- Technology supported group work;
- Networks at an organizational level;
- Electronic commerce and electronic markets.

The workshop papers will be published within the COST Social Science Series.
