Seminar on Transport R&D under the Fourth Framework Programme

The Institute of European Trade and Technology (IETT) and the United Kingdom's Department of Transport, are jointly organizing a seminar on the Community's specific research and development programme in the field of transport, to be held in London, UK, on 8 December 1995.

The seminar has been organized to coincide with the Commission's second call for proposals under this programme which will be published on 15 December 1995. The aim of the seminar is to provide a detailed briefing to research organizations wishing to submit proposals under the forthcoming call. It will, notably, provide participants with an opportunity to:

- Learn about transport research and development under the Fourth Framework Programme;
- Be able to question European Commission and Department of Transport staff;
- Meet prospective partners;
- Find out about sources of help.

The seminar will be of interest to a wide range of organizations involved in transport telematics, multi-modal systems, integrated transport chains and other research themes across all the individual transport modes, such as road, rail, air, maritime and urban transport.

Participants will, in addition, be provided with information on the first call for proposals under the Transport programme and on the possibilities of bidding for transport-related areas under the BRITE-EURAM and JOULE/THERMIE programmes. The main focus throughout the day will be on practical issues and best practice experience.
