International workshop on modelling techniques, business process and benchmarking

An international workshop on "Modelling techniques, business process and benchmarking" will be held in Bordeaux, France, on 18-19 April 1996. The workshop is being organized by the University of Bordeaux and the Association of Users of the GRAI method (AUGRAI), and is being sponsored by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) and the European Commission.

The main objectives of the workshop are to:

- Evaluate new developments in modelling techniques and their use in benchmarking and restructuring by business process (business process re-engineering);
- Analyze the initial experiences and results of new ESPRIT projects launched under the Technology for Business Process (TBP) initiative;
- Discuss successful applications of modelling techniques, benchmarking and business process re-engineering;
- Disseminate knowledge of business best practices in different domains of the manufacturing and service sectors.

The workshop will be held in English and French, and is targeted at:

- Company decision makers and administrators and those responsible for supplies, purchasing, logistics, quality, maintenance and engineering, production systems planning, information technology;
- Consultants in these fields;
- Researchers and teachers.

The number of participants will be limited.
