Second International Conference on the Practical Application of Constraint Technology

The Second International Conference on the Practical Application of Constraint Technology (PACT) will be held in London, UK, from 22 to 26 April 1996. The conference is being organized and supported by the European Union Network of Excellence in Computational Logic (Compulog Net), established under the Community's ESPRIT programme.

The Network of Excellence initiative was launched to help establish an administrative and information infrastructure under ESPRIT, and to organize meetings and workshops designed to coordinate the strategic planning of research, research training and links to industry.

PACT'96 will focus on the industrial exploitation of constraint programming, the potential benefits for business and future trends for this important technology. The conference will provide participants with an excellent opportunity to appreciate the breadth of applications of constraint technology, exchange information on new developments and their practical application.

The event will include an exhibition in which live applications and cutting-edge development systems will be demonstrated.
