COPINET Focus Group Meeting

The COPINET project is a telematics applications project aimed at developing guidelines for the implementation of charging systems for information delivery and retrieval services. It was initially financed under the Community's LIBRARIES programme (1990-1994). Community support has, however, been continued under the specific RTD programme in the area of telematic applications of common interest (1994-1998).

A number of Focus Group Meetings are planned within this project. These are intended to provide an opportunity for potential users of the COPINET system, particularly publishers and librarians, to have an input into the system at the design and evaluation stage. It is also hoped that they will provide channels for the dissemination of the work into a wider group of interest.

The first COPINET Focus Group Meeting will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 20 March 1996. The meeting will provide the first public demonstration of the system, and participants in the group will have the opportunity to search the system themselves. Those attending the first Focus Group Meeting will be invited to future meetings, and will have the chance to evaluate the system regularly throughout its development.
