ACTS Mobile Communications Summit '96

The ACTS Mobile Communications Summit '96, this year entitled "European mobile technology towards global wireless infrastructure", will be held in Granada, Spain, on 27-29 November 1996. The conference is being organized jointly by the European Commission (DG XIII), Telefónica Móviles and Telefónica I+D. It is supported under the Community's specific programme in the field of advanced communications technologies and services (ACTS).
The aim of the conference is to provide a major forum for the dissemination of the results of European research initiatives towards third generation mobile communication systems, such as UMTS, MBS, and WLANs, including their satellite components.
The issues addressed at the conference relate to the service and capacity definition of future mobile communication systems and networks, and to the development of third generation technology and service platforms.
