ICECCS'96: Engineering of complex computer systems

ICECCS'96, the second international conference on the engineering of complex computer systems will be held in Montreal, Canada, on 21-25 October 1996. The conference is being organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers' (IEEE) Computer Society, part of the network of excellence of the European Community's specific RTD programme in the field of information technologies (ESPRIT).

With complex computer systems becoming more common in many manufacturing and service sectors, the aim of the conference is to bring together industrial, academic and government experts to determine how problems and solution techniques interact within the system. Sessions are anticipated on the following topics:

- AI (Artificial Intelligence) and intelligent systems;
- Architecture, tools, environments and languages;
- Complex database systems and data management;
- Dependable real-time systems;
- Formal methods;
- Heterogeneous computing;
- Software engineering, re-engineering and re-use;
- Standards;
- Systems engineering;
- Virtual reality, multimedia, real-time imaging.

Submissions of papers for the conference are invited, by 15 April 1996.
