Multimedia for training in trade and industry

A European conference and exhibition on "Multimedia for training in trade and industry" will be held in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on 4 June 1996. The conference is organized by the Netherlands INNOVATION Relay Centre.

The conference aims to provide insight into the potential benefits and applications of advanced multimedia technology for training. It also intends to stimulate collaboration aimed at the exploitation of advanced technology and best-practice experience developed in European research and educational programmes.

The conference will feature presentations of the results of 15 EC-funded RTD projects in the multimedia area. These projects are the results of funding from the following Community RTD programmes:

- DELTA: specific RTD programme in the field of telematics systems in the areas of flexible and distance learning;
- ESPRIT: specific RTD programme in the field of information technologies;
- FORCE: action programme for the development of continuing vocational training in the European Union.
