PACE'96 - A practical approach to concurrent engineering

A European workshop on "A practical approach to concurrent engineering", PACE'96, will be held in Bremen, Germany, on 16 September 1996. It is organized by the PACE project of the Community's BRITE/EURAM specific RTD programme in the field of industrial materials and technologies, under the Third Framework Programme.

The PACE project has developed a holistic infrastructure consisting of a set of complementary tools and methods for the introduction of concurrent engineering, including:

- An implementation framework for the guided introduction of concurrent engineering;
- A concurrent engineering workbench comprising a set of tools for decision support;
- A knowledge platform about concurrent engineering.

The workshop will present the approaches and intermediate results of the PACE project, by means of demonstrations and discussions.
