Rational Use of Energy in Industry

The University of Liège is organizing a seminar on the "Rational Use of Energy in Industry" to be held in Liège, Belgium, on 25-26 November 1996. The seminar, which is being organized in collaboration with DG XII (Science, research and development) of the European Commission, will review progress made under recent research and development projects funded under the JOULE component of the Community's specific RTD programme in the field of non-nuclear energy (1994-1998) (JOULE/THERMIE).

The seminar will include presentations of 14 RTD projects funded in the "Rational Use of Energy in Industry" section of the programme. It will, in addition, provide an opportunity to explore areas of strategic importance in which further research and development at EU level is needed. Information on the ongoing call for proposals under JOULE will also be provided.
