A workshop on "Patents, copyright and licensing" will be held in Dublin, Ireland, on 30 October 1996. The workshop, which is being organized by Forbairt, the Irish State Development Agency, aims to give representatives of Irish enterprises an overview of how technology can be protected.
A basic explanation of each aspect of intellectual property rights will be given, covering patents, copyright, designs and trademarks. This will include the information aspects of patents and tax and ownership issues, in addition to the practical issues involved in protecting technology.
The workshop will be of interest to companies developing new products, but equally to those interested in licensing products developed by others. The workshop tutors are both experienced practitioners in the field of intellectual property and technology transfer, with a wide knowledge of intellectual property issues at European level.
