An international workshop on "Harmonization within atmospheric dispersion modelling for regulatory purposes" will take place in Rhodes, Greece, from 17 to 22 May 1998. The workshop, the fifth in a series, is organized by the "Demokritos" National Centre for Scientific Research in Greece.
The prediction of the impact of atmospheric emissions upon local air quality requires the use of atmospheric transport and dispersion models. Harmonization within atmospheric dispersion modelling for regulatory purposes will contribute to the proper use of appropriate tools by the industrial and environmental authorities on issues that are directly related to industry competition and public environmental protection.
Abstracts are invited for submission by 15 October 1997.
