New technologies for the environment and agriculture

The Hellenic Innovation Relay Centre is organizing a workshop on "New technologies for the environment and agriculture", to be held in Athens, Greece, on 14 February 1997.

The aim of the workshop is to provide a forum for presenting and discussing the latest developments and applications in the field of agriculture and the environment, with particular emphasis on the research activities of the European Union.

The workshop programme is intended to attract a wide range of Greek industrial companies and associations. Comprehensive presentations and discussions will take place on the following specific topics:

- Biofiltration: efficient cleaning of polluted air streams, with particular emphasis on applications in food processing, dairies and cheese production and oil mills;
- Efficient compact waste water treatment plant with very low production of sludge;
- Computerized AGRO prewarning system for south European environment.
