The eighth annual conference and exhibition on European multimedia, microprocessor systems and electronic commerce, EMMSEC'98, will take place in Bordeaux, France, on 28-30 September 1998. Supported by the European Commission within the framework of the Community's specific RTD programme in the field of Information Technologies (ESPRIT), the event is intended to highlight new business opportunities in this dynamic sector.

The organizers of this event are currently calling for the submission of abstracts for both technical papers and/or the organization of complete sessions. The Commission strongly encourages EU-funded projects to participate in this event, which offers an ideal opportunity to disseminate the results of their work and ensure future exploitation of research results. Participation in the EMMSEC'98 exhibition is also encouraged.
