Project description
Connecting African and EU innovation actors
Digital innovation hubs (DIHs) represent a central factor in developing digital business opportunities between African and European entrepreneurs. The EU-funded AfriConEU project will expand and reinforce the digital innovation ecosystems in Africa, connecting DIHs from Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana and Tanzania with European DIHs. The project will deliver capacity building activities, ease knowledge and experience sharing, support the development of mutually beneficial partnerships, and encourage the establishment of collective projects, transforming local hubs into catalysts for digital transformation and entrepreneurship. AfriConEU will develop and demonstrate the AfriConEU Networking Academy as an innovative mechanism of connecting and sharing between Africa and Europe, contributing towards a vibrant digital economy and new job opportunities for the benefit of both continents.
