EUNICE awards to reward outstanding trajectories (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)

That task will deal with the balance in the assessment of academics and their research careers. First, a tool for measuring research results for researchers and research groups at EUNICE universities will be created. The tool will consist of a set of rules and check-lists which can balance the different national academic systems, and acknowledges the independence and individual qualities and ambitions of academics and their team performances. Furthermore, indicators will be defined to encourage the best and implement plans to strengthen the weakest areas. The indicators of the academics, groups or departments should include social inclusion, gender equality, diversity, and Open Science aspects. Finally, a EUNICE awards will be created to reward outstanding trajectories of scientists and groups/departments of the consortium and awards and programmes to avoid Brain Drain and attract talent. As a pilot, the selection of candidates for career promotion will be automated by using AI and smart contracts that can evaluate the eligibility of candidates by verifying their certificates stored in the blockchain, then choose the candidates based on encoded rules and conditions that ensure fair treatment of candidates. Smart contracts can recommend researchers to the universities according to the researchers skills and the universities needs.
