Veinte años del Foro Estratégico Europeo sobre Infraestructuras de Investigación

El Foro Estratégico Europeo sobre Infraestructuras de Investigación (ESFRI, por sus siglas en inglés) celebró su 20.° aniversario en marzo de 2020. A lo largo de estos veinte años, ha mejorado de forma estratégica la excelencia europea en trabajos punteros en múltiples ámbitos de investigación. El proyecto BRIDGE, financiado con fondos europeos, se encargó de organizar la Conferencia del 20° aniversario del ESFRI en Francia, celebrada bajo los auspicios de la Presidencia francesa del Consejo de la Unión Europea el 25 de marzo de 2002. El acto tuvo como objetivo valorizar la repercusión del ESFRI en el sistema europeo de investigación e innovación durante estos veinte años, así como fortalecer su papel en el renovado Espacio Europeo de Investigación. En él también se analizaron los factores que impulsan el desarrollo del rico panorama de infraestructuras de investigación europeas.

Objetivo

The project BRIDGE (Broaden Research Infrastructures – Deepen the Geography of Europe ) is aiming at organizing the celebrating of the the 20 years of ESFRI through a 20 Years Anniversary ESFRI Cconference. The Cconference will take place in France, under the aupices of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, on March 25th, 2022. The heardquarters of the French Academy of Science, at Institut de France, 23 quai de Conti, 75006 Paris, will be the main venue for this event. The objectives of the project are the following:

• Valorisation of the impact of ESFRI on European R&I system over the 20 years
• Reinforcement of the role of ESFRI and the European RIs in the renewed ERA
• Increased awareness of the research and innovation actors of the opportunities provided by European RIs
