Beta version of Climateurope2 platform operational

This deliverable is the launch of a Beta version of the climateurope2 platform. This Beta version will be an operational version ready for uploading project results and allowing the community engagement and feedback to the uploaded results. It might miss some final functionalities and may have bugs or other issues to be solved during its operational phase until the launch of the stable version. [Task 7.4]

Project management guidelines

This deliverable describes the relevant process and documents for the management of the project as well as those linked to the quality assurance. This deliverable will include risk management, monitoring of carbon footprint and gender aspects. [Task 8.1 and Task 8.2]

Framework and patterns of business (model) innovation, collection of good practice examples

This deliverable will summarise the results of a mapping review conducted in the Task 3.2, showing how business models for climate services are designed, enacted and used to unleash their benefits and values along the decision-making process. [Task 3.2]

Preliminary consisten guidelines of good practices for vocabularies, formats, metadata and technical standards, including FAIR principles for data and software/processing

Preliminary report of D2.6. Guidelines on data and processing methods for climate services are compiled based on a comparison of common practices and a use case that demonstrate the feasibility of these guidelines. Aspects taken into account are vocabularies, formats, metadata and technical standards including FAIR principles for data, processes and products (e.g. climate projections and indices, applied climate data such as agriculture) of climate services. We will also identify aspects more mature for standardisation. [Task 2.1]

Communication, dissemination and exploitation plan

Communication, dissemination and exploitation plan of Climateurope2, including KPIs for monitoring the effectiveness of the CDPE.

Glossary of sectoral vocabulary

This deliverable will develop a glossary of sectoral vocabulary to enhance common understanding and support effective communication within a wide network of actors with non-overlapping expertise and the usability of climate services. [Task1.2]

Composition and terms of reference of the External Advisory Board (EAB)

This deliverable describes the requirements and actions linked to the External Advisory Board responsibilities. [Task 8.1]

Literature based guiding principles for high-quality CSminologies

This deliverable is the first of a set of three deliverables to develop guiding principles for high-quality CS. It summarizes initial findings based on a literature analysis. The results will inform the stakeholder consultation processes and will also be provided as input to other WP, mainly WP1. [Task 4.1]

Initial state of the market: actors, sectors, terminologies

This deliverable is the first of a set of three deliverables. Based on desk research it summarizes initial findings on the state of the climate services market in terms of sectors (which approaches exist, complementarities and conflicts), actors, and terminologies (e.g. climate vs adaptation services, sustainability services, risks, vulnerabilities etc.) This initial analysis informs the stakeholder processes in the next project phase. [Task 4.1]

Preliminary best practices in climate uncertainty quantification and communication

Preliminary report of D2.8. The report will deal with best practises and public understanding of uncertainty and risk frameworks (hazard, exposure and vulnerability), leading to guidelines evaluated by case studies drawn from parallel or precursor projects. We will also identify aspects more mature for standardisation. [Task 2.4]

Current landscape of initiatives and standardization norms and approaches

This deliverable will be a written report that will provide an analysis of the landscape of standardisation initiatives and technical, procedural and performance norms related to climate services. The report will also evaluate their relevance for Climateurope2. This deliverable will be updated during project execution to include new standards and initiatives. [Task1.1]

Framework for standardisation

This deliverable will draw from the transdisciplinary expertise of the consortium to develop a framework for supporting and standardising climate services. The framework will ensure that the standardisation processes, wherever appropriate, are equitable and effective. [Task1.2]

Community engagement strategy

This deliverable will describe Climateurope2 activities to build on precursor activities such as Climateurope (1), JPI-Climate/ERA4CS, CSP, GFCS etc. The report will describe the network status at the start of the project and will outline the Community Engagement Strategy to be followed during the project. This strategy will be updated at least twice during the project in the two following deliverables (D6.2, D6.3) [Task 6.1]

Preliminary best practices in provenance of processing methodologies to guarantee traceability and reproducibility of climate data and ways to communicate it in a user-friendly manner

Preliminary report of D2.7. The document introduces the case studies investigated throughout the progress of the project and discuss how these are represented by a comprehensive provenance model. Particular attention will be given to aspects such as usability and dissemination of the information in the context of different user profiles, from researchers to auditors and decision makers. Supported by examples, the technical applicability of the suggested solution will be explored and we will identify aspects more mature for standardization. [Task 2.2]
