Multi-level Circular Process Chain for Carbon and Glass Fibre Composites

CORDIS provides links to public deliverables and publications of HORIZON projects.

Links to deliverables and publications from FP7 projects, as well as links to some specific result types such as dataset and software, are dynamically retrieved from OpenAIRE .

Deliverables

Data Management Plan (opens in new window)

The deliverable will include a plan describing the data collected throughout the project, their status and how non-confidential research data will be made available to other researchers in a repository.

Design of civil engineering part: joining collets for pipe lines (opens in new window)

The deliverable will include the design of a part for the particular domain, taking the mechanical and visual properties of recycle material into account. The load case scenario will be described as well.

Life cycle analysis of circular production process (opens in new window)

The report will include an analysis of the environmental and economic impact of the new, circular manufacturing process and its variants as developed in the project. A comparison will be made to the conventional, linear process.

Sorting method for glass fibre parts (opens in new window)

A prototype implementation of spectroscopic sorting method with inline capabilities for the sorting of end-of-life glass fibre parts according to the type of resin will be set up. Tests results will be provided and a design for upscaling to large quantities.

Assessment of parts made from recycled material (opens in new window)

"This deliverable will consist of sample parts manufactured from recycled material for all domains investigated in the project. Results of the characterization of the parts will be provided and compared to requirements as well as to ""conventional"" (i.e. using virgin material) designs. In addition, for each part marketing-oriented visual material (one page per part) will be included as well."

Sorting method for carbon fibre parts (opens in new window)

This report will describe the experimental setup and the results of inline spectroscopy for the sorting of end-of-life carbon fibre parts.

Dataset in Repository (opens in new window)

This deliverable will be a data set that is made publicly available in the Zenodo repository. It will include suitably structured data and meta-information to make the data usable for other researchers.

Final demonstration and evaluation report (opens in new window)

This demonstration will show all processing and recycling steps that have been developed, including the quality grading systems. An evaluation report with sample parts and an assessment relative to the expected outcomes will be provided.

Quality control and grading systems (opens in new window)

The prototype deliverable will consist of the quality control and quality grading systems implemented for the spinning, weaving and nonwoven processes. Test result of materials of different quality will be reported and an outlook about the full integration with the manufacturing process will be provided.

Liquid recycled fraction for amine epoxy resin (opens in new window)

Demonstration of analysis and phase separation of retrieved liquid fraction suitable for application in NOMA’s virgin epoxy resin with different mixture ratios.

Sample materials for parts manufacturing (opens in new window)

This deliverable will consists of a set of sample materials manufactured for part production in WP6. It will report about the quantities of carbon fibre fabric and will provide a characterization of the resulting material properties to be correlated with mechanical part performance.

Project web page and visual identity (opens in new window)

This deliverable is the project web page and a “visual identity” package. The report will describe the structure, the content and the intended use of the web page, as well as the logo, colours, fonts, styles and templates to be used by all project partners in the project.

Final report on standardization (opens in new window)

The report will address relevant standards that relate to the use of recycled material in the different domains also including the results of interactions with OEMs in the different domains.

Documentation of training material (opens in new window)

The deliverable will consist of the training material prepared in the project and it will describe its further use.
