Deliverables
A metadata portal for unlocking EU and national data sets and making data sets accessible in the context of water resources planning. Data sets include data on meteorological, hydrological, basin features, water governance and water infrastructure.
Data sets on scenario narratives (opens in new window)Data sets on the scenario narratives about possible future circumstances for each river basin related to future climatic, socio-economic and policy developments
Metadata portal (1st release) (opens in new window)A metadata portal for unlocking EU and national data sets and making data sets accessible in the context of water resources planning. Data sets include data on meteorological, hydrological, basin features, water governance and water infrastructure.
Metadata portal (3rd release) (opens in new window)A metadata portal for unlocking EU and national data sets and making data sets accessible in the context of water resources planning. Data sets include data on meteorological, hydrological, basin features, water governance and water infrastructure.
Drafting of the Dissemination Strategy Plan (DSP), to ensure the coherent streamlining of the project outputs into targeted high-quality dissemination products, and their dissemination to specific target audiences.
Description of integrated indicators (opens in new window)A report describing a set of climate risk indicators at the river basin level that will help to better monitor, evaluate and assess developments in water resources availability and impacts of climate change.
Data-driven water resources models (opens in new window)A report detailing assessments of how data-driven models could be used to address the identified priority improvement areas based on the results of model development and testing within the Hubs.
Gaps analysis of existing tools (opens in new window)A set of reports of the benchmarking of existing operational models within the 7 Hubs against identified stakeholder requirements.
Added value of data-driven models and data services (opens in new window)The added value of new and improved models will be qualitatively and quantitatively evaluated in a report by comparing the outcome of the applications of the different models.
Review of existing observational systems (opens in new window)This report consists of an inventory of existing data information systems for water resources management, including data sets that are currently used by the river basin hubs as well as new developments at EU or global level.
Dissemination and communication strategy plan (2nd release) (opens in new window)Drafting of the Dissemination Strategy Plan (DSP), to ensure the coherent streamlining of the project outputs into targeted high-quality dissemination products, and their dissemination to specific target audiences.
Report on next generation water resources data services (opens in new window)This report describes a set of newly developed data services to support water resources management at the river basin scale. The services are built from existing data sets through data assimilation and data fusion techniques.
Recommendations to bridging the gap in modelling process understanding (opens in new window)A report containing recommendations on how state-of-the-art process-based model approaches and novel modelling concepts could be used to address the identified priority improvement areas within the Hubs.
Workshop report on capacity building for using the models, services and dashboards (opens in new window)To promote sustainable uptake of results we will organize a workshop to clarify the needs for capacity building amongst users for using the various project tools.
Needs assessment stakeholders (opens in new window)After setting up the stakeholder communities, the needs and knowledge questions need to be identified for each RBO and will be reported as an important milestone.WP2 (data services) and WP3 (modelling tools) will take up the results of this assessment.
Options for multi-scale integration of water resources models (opens in new window)A report presenting options for how selected pan-European models could be used to address the identified priority improvement areas within the Hubs, including a demonstration of how model outputs can be integrated across scale to improve content and capabilities.
Policy brief on unlocking global data for EU water policies (opens in new window)Policy brief based on the findings on the project, dedicated to policy managers.
Water scenarios for river basin hubs (opens in new window)Being able to react in time on changing circumstances due to climate change and socio-economic changes, each RBO needs to prepare on the future. Scenario’s on water availability (“to much or to little”) play an essential role in this and assessment. And developing them in a co-creative process, with all the partners involved in the RBO, is an opportunity to raise awareness and acceptance for the challenges ahead and the action perspectives.
Stakeholder engagement work plan (opens in new window)To facilitate the stakeholder engagement, a work plan will be developed. This work plan will describe the activities and result for each task, and expected input of the participants. The process of developing the work plan also serves to set up and strengthen the collaboration, within and between the RBO’s and the STARS4Water consortium.
Dissemination and communication strategy plan (1st release) (opens in new window)Drafting of the Dissemination Strategy Plan (DSP), to ensure the coherent streamlining of the project outputs into targeted high-quality dissemination products, and their dissemination to specific target audiences.
The Data Management Plan contains an overview of all data sets used and generated in projects, any IPR associated with the data sets, the dataflow between tasks and WPs, the procedures to make data publicly available through data repositories, and personal data. All data will be handled in accordance with the regulation EU 2016/679 (also applicable to the non-EU project participants from Norway and the United Kingdom) on the processing of personal data. The Data Manager will be responsible for the Data Management. The will be updated during the lifetime of the project.
Data Management Plan (2nd release) (opens in new window)The Data Management Plan contains an overview of all data sets used and generated in projects, any IPR associated with the data sets, the dataflow between tasks and WPs, the procedures to make data publicly available through data repositories, and personal data. All data will be handled in accordance with the regulation EU 2016/679 (also applicable to the non-EU project participants from Norway and the United Kingdom) on the processing of personal data. The Data Manager will be responsible for the Data Management. The will be updated during the lifetime of the project.
Development and maintenance of the Stars4Water website (to be maintained for 5 more years after the project ends, and used to disseminate updates on activities, deliverables, interesting news/posts, events, etc.).
