Leistungen
The project results will be disseminated to a diverse audience, mainly targeting academia but also industry, since the findings could potentially generate valuable commercial opportunities. The preferred method of dissemination will be through publications in high impact peer-reviewed scientific journals in the field of materials physics, photonics and materials chemistry. We aim to publish two (2) journal articles during the 2-year course of the proposed research project. Scientific results will also be communicated through oral presentations in international conferences in the field of polaritonics such as SCOM and PLMCN, as well as more general materials physics and photonics conferences like MRS/E-MRS and SPIE Photonics. The participation in conferences will allow the fellow to expand his network, exchange ideas and establish new synergies with other members of the scientific community. Other local or international scientific events will also be attended with the results being presented in seminars during these visits. This will give the opportunity to the members of the consortium to build connections with other researchers in the field that will hopefully lead to new collaborations and ideas. The research activities and results of the proposed project will be communicated to a diverse audience such as focused communities (as described above) and to high-school and university students as well as the public through outreach approaches. All the aforementioned goals will be achieved by a variety of science communication activities that would include (i) presentations in international conferences , (ii) peer-review articles under an open access scheme and/or creative commons licence , (iii) science talks to high school and undergraduate students, (iv) seminars and colloquia at different research institutions in Cyprus and abroad, (v) an open laboratory day in the LUS at UCY towards the end of the fellowship where the fellow will demonstrate the project results and show a hybrid organic/inorganic LED prototype, (vi) public talks and educational seminars and (vii) articles in scientific magazines and an e-forum/blog/webpage that will be created solely for the SYZEFXIS project.
-Open access practices will be employed that will help reach the goals set and meet all the objectives. Such practices include a data repository that all the participating researcher will have access to, pre-prints will be put on online platforms, results will be discussed on a weekly basis with all the research parties involved and data will be also managed in a way that all the participants could access it, e.g. data put on cloud. An online library with relevant publications from other research groups will be created and updated on a daily basis, allowing for the researchers involved with the project to be notified and get informed about ongoing research related to the SYZEFXIS project.-One of the aims of the proposed research project is to demonstrate, in a proof-of-principle experiment, enhanced stability of organic semiconductors in strong-coupled electrically-driven hybrid LED devices, with this work potentially resulting in new consumer-market applications. Patent opportunities will be exploited, as well as the best strategies for intellectual property protection will be employed. This will be achieved by close collaboration with the patent office at UCY that will consult the consortium members on the measures to be taken.
