Leistungen

Prototype of Monitoring & Fog/IoT Data Streams Management in Cloud Computing Continuum (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Design and implementation of an efficient, secure and fault-tolerant monitoring mechanism involving distributed agents for processing Fog-enabled applications monitoring data. This will be accompanied by a Meta-OS API that will provide seamless management of the required asynchronous message-based communication of NebulOuS components. This deliverable will also report on the rollout of a distributed high performance specialised IoT architecture for time series and data storage and management, with secure stream data processing capabilities able to run the anomaly detection models, both at the edge, and the cloud. Last, it will report on the design and implementation of a recommendation system for autonomously driving reconfigurations in transient cloud computing continuum.

1st Release of the NebulOuS Integrated Platform & Use Case Planning (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

First, It will report on the testing strategy, environments for testing and quality assurance guidelines; Description of the scope and technical design of adaptation needed to integrate underpinning OSS mechanisms into NebulOuS platform, such as security and data sanitization techniques; Report on the implementation of the integration layer along with all the details of NebulOuS platform intermediate and public integrated releases. Last, evaluation and validation requirements to support the selected use cases. Assessment methods will be defined leading to a complete set of KPIs to be able to set the goals for each scenario.

Initial NebulOuS Brokerage & Resource Management (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Documentation concerning: i) an early prototype release of the ORDGE mechanism; i) a cloud and fog service ranking and discovery mechanism that supports the intermediation in collaborative sharing scenarios; iii) design of algorithms to assign in real-time processing tasks or serverless functions in cloud computing continuum; and iv) visualization prototype.

Initial Orchestration Layer & Security-enabled Overlay Network Deployment (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Early results of task T4.1, and T4.2, describing a prototype system for the deployment and management of distributed cloud/fog applications and their serverless counterparts as well as workflows execution. It introduces a mechanism for secure overlay networks and their deployment together with applications (T4.4). Last, it defines the realisation of secure data streams within that system through context-aware and policy-controlled access control mechanism (T4.5).

Initial Semantic Models and Resource Discovery Mechanism (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Documentation concerning the FSA and ARP models, as well as an early prototype of the mechanism for determining appropriate fog and cloud resources for provisioning application instances. Appropriate DSL to describe application placements and workflow execution in cloud computing continuums, implementation of a translator to transparently transfer requirements and preferences in semantic models for quality assurance. The quality assurance aspects will be covered by the NebulOuS SLA model and a relevant SLA component framework.

Requirements and Conceptual Architecture of the NebulOuS Meta-OS (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Report on the current ork in all the relevant research areas of NebulOuS project and capture of relevant requirements. Bird’s view on the general architecture of the system and should lay a foundation for the integration. Each component will be described through its functional and non-functional requirements.
