Technologie, Schulung und Sensibilisierung für die Bekämpfung von häuslicher Gewalt
Häusliche Gewalt ist ein ernstes und weit verbreitetes Problem, von dem Millionen von Menschen jeden Alters, Geschlechts und Hintergrunds in Europa betroffen sind – trotz der Bemühungen von Regierungen und Interessengruppen, derartige Vorfälle zu verhindern. Im Rahmen des EU-finanzierten Projekts ISEDA werden Schulungs- und Sensibilisierungsprogramme eingesetzt, um Opfern Unterstützung zu geben, Daten über häusliche Gewalt zu sammeln sowie Täterinnen und Tätern Rehabilitationsmöglichkeiten anzubieten. Während ein Chatbot die Opfer unterstützt, soll ein Schulungsprogramm, das auch ein Serious-Game-Modul enthält, den Polizeibehörden helfen, besser mit Fällen häuslicher Gewalt umzugehen. Sensibilisierungskampagnen sollen die Öffentlichkeit aufklären und den Opfern Gehör verschaffen, während sich Bildungsprogramme an die Lernenden richten, um gesunde Beziehungen zu fördern und schädliche Geschlechterstereotypen zu dekonstruieren.
Ziel
The ISEDA project (Innovative Solutions to Eliminate Domestic Abuse) aims to combat and eliminate DV by employing an enriched European approach, utilizing modern technological tools and practices and improved multi-sectoral expertise in its activities. One of them is developing a chatbot, which will employ empathetic language and inform victims on ways to get help and assistance, as well as refer them to hotline numbers, police or other first responders to de-escalate violent situations. The chatbot will also familiarize citizens with the different types of DV, how to prevent, detect and investigate it. With victims’ consent, an integrated data platform will gather court-proof evidence to be used to build a legal case, and record trends on the nature, frequency and circumstances of the DV.
A key activity of the ISEDA project will be providing training to primarily PAs through interactive learning. Participants will develop the necessary skills to better assess DV situations, respond accordingly and provide better assistance to victims and a just treatment to their cases.
Awareness on DV will be further improved through campaigns integrating victims' input, via informational guides, posters and videos. Education Programs will focus on sensitizing and engaging students, fostering know-how on deconstructing toxic gender stereotypes and GBV and promoting healthy relationships and zero tolerance to violence.
The ISEDA project will also promote and implement perpetrator programs as an alternative to imprisonment and a chance for positive change, as such programs have the potential to significantly increase the quality of life of both victims and perpetrators.
Overall, the ISEDA project, employing multidisciplinary expertise and addressing the different aspects of DV, has the potential to significantly enhance the fight against DV on a European level and contribute to the establishment of the necessary robust long-lasting structures to eliminate it.
