Each partner will review the literature of the processes of autonomy-building they have been assigned to, concerning the decoupling of cities from their national governments: Internationalization of Cities (KU); Establishing New Relations between the National and the Local and Increasing autonomy from national government (UPF); Detachment from Formal Governance by Independent Actors (UvA). (D5.1, M6)
Research Funding and Management training recordings (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)Internal trainings and lectures on the research management potential of KU (T3.1) and trainings on accessing research funding (T3.2) will be recorded and disseminated (M20).
Preliminary report synthesizing the literature and the fieldwork on urban politics and autonomy-building processes of the cities (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)Based on the D5.4 Preliminary Report Synthesizing the Literature and the Fieldwork on Urban Politics and Autonomy-building Processes of the Cities (ALL) (M14), a research agenda will be determined for the production of research outputs.
Special issue submission (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)The outputs of the scientific conference (D5.5) will be made into a “special issue” to be submitted to one of the renowned journals previously mentioned in the proposals (ALL) (D5.6, M34).
International Conference (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)International Conference to Share the Findings of Ongoing and Recently Completed Horizon 2020 & Horizon Europe Research (M35) will be organised and will disseminate academic outputs of the ongoing and recently completed H2020 and, ongoing, HEurope research at the participating institutions to fellow researchers from all three institutions. All three institutions have been running several EU-funded projects along with other European institutions and the intersection of some of these projects’ research findings directly or indirectly with issues of urban space and diversity may have been overlooked. In this regard, we plan to organize a scientific conference to share the findings of ongoing and recently completed H2020 and, ongoing, HEurope projects, and other large research on urban diversity and migration management at the local level. Secondly, we aim to underscore relevant aspects of our research findings for policy making at the urban level, and reach out to policy makers. We will ensure their contribution hints at policy implications grounded on empirical evidence. The two-day conference will include panels on different themes, as well as roundtables inviting wider, cross-cutting discussions. A particular focus will be given to the actual and potential impacts of ongoing and recently completed research; thereby, magnifying the impact of recent research conducted at MiReKoc and consortium partners for policy making.
Reports of the fieldwork (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)After the determination of the research agenda through the state-of-the-art report and above-mentioned workshop, each partner will establish a small group of researchers within their institutions, to interview with, and collect data from the key persons including policy makers, practitioners, international organisation and NGO representatives in their corresponding cities.

Under fellowship mobility scheme (WP4), fellows will also work in the project by contributing to the organization and shaping of the content of the project training, dissemination, and communication activities throughout their presence at KU. For instance, they will be encouraged to write research briefs and blog posts as part of the project. (7 Blog Articles authored by post-doctoral researchers and PhD students, 4 Research Briefs authored by the post-doctoral researchers (M8-32) Fellows, and short-term researchers will give a university-wide seminar as part of project activities.
IDTP Support Seminars Recordings (se abrirá en una nueva ventana)This task aims at contributing to Innovative Doctoral Training Principles (IDTP) by strengthening the curriculum activities of the PhD programs at the Graduate School of Social Sciences and Humanities (GSSSH). The content of the below mentioned workshop and seminars which will be provided by KU, UvA and UPF will be recorded by Koç University Office of Learning and Teaching (KOLT) and the online content recordings will be accessible to all researchers during and after the project time (activities listed in T2.3) (D7.5, M34).
