Conceptual Papers prepared by each partner on different themes

Each partner will review the literature of the processes of autonomy-building they have been assigned to, concerning the decoupling of cities from their national governments: Internationalization of Cities (KU); Establishing New Relations between the National and the Local and Increasing autonomy from national government (UPF); Detachment from Formal Governance by Independent Actors (UvA). (D5.1, M6)

Preliminary report synthesizing the literature and the fieldwork on urban politics and autonomy-building processes of the cities

Based on the D5.4 Preliminary Report Synthesizing the Literature and the Fieldwork on Urban Politics and Autonomy-building Processes of the Cities (ALL) (M14), a research agenda will be determined for the production of research outputs.

Reports of the fieldwork

After the determination of the research agenda through the state-of-the-art report and above-mentioned workshop, each partner will establish a small group of researchers within their institutions, to interview with, and collect data from the key persons including policy makers, practitioners, international organisation and NGO representatives in their corresponding cities.

State-of-the-art report on urban politics and autonomy-building processes of the cities

The research agenda will be determined through the state-of-the-art report.
