CBDC powered Smart PerFORrmance contracTs for Efficiency, Sustainable, Inclusive, Energy use

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - FORTESIE (CBDC powered Smart PerFORrmance contracTs for Efficiency, Sustainable, Inclusive, Energy use)

Berichtszeitraum: 2022-09-01 bis 2024-02-29

As buildings guzzle energy and threaten climate goals, the FORTESIE project emerges to bridge the gap in energy-efficient renovations. Homeowners often lack awareness and financing for these upgrades, while the market itself is fragmented. FORTESIE tackles this challenge with a multi-pronged approach: piloting renovation solutions using the developed digital components and developing innovative financing models like green euro loans, and creating a user-friendly platform and OSS marketplace to empower homeowners throughout the renovation process. Extensive outreach efforts will raise awareness and promote the adoption of these energy-saving practices across Europe. The project expects significant energy savings and a streamlined renovation market. Social sciences and humanities play a crucial role in FORTESIE's success by understanding user behavior, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and crafting targeted communication strategies for maximum impact.
