Leistungen

DEC plan (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Task 7.2. Branding, DEC plans and coordination of external communication/dissemination. Lead: ScC, Partner: AU, WP leaders. The visual identity, website, and social media accounts (including Twitter, LinkedIn, and a YouTube channel) will be set up for external communication (M7.1). Graphic guidelines and templates will be developed for digital and print communication (e.g., posters, brochures, presentations) for consistent and coherent communication by all partners. The dissemination, exploitation, and communication (DEC) plan will be elaborated (D7.2), and its performance evaluated (D7.4).

Roadmap linking tech solutions (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Task 4.1. Roadmap for technical solutions linking to user and policy needsLead: AZTI, Participants: AU, CEFAS, CNRS, SYKE, ISPRA, DELTARES, UNEP-WCMC, UTARTUDefining processing chains for generating technical solutions to achieve information products (WP1), including data flow, data pre-processing, algorithm and model selection, and data product definitions (D4.1). Determining limitations and applicability of these methods depending on data and their quality. Agreed-upon protocols and methods will be defined for training, testing and validating core AI modules (e.g., validation schemes, validation metrics and statistical tests

Review existing/emerging tech for benthic observations (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Task 3.1. Reviewing existing and emerging technologies for benthic observationsLead: SYKE, Participants: AU, NIVA, AZTI, CSIC, AWI, NIMRD, IOBAS, LUKEThis task will establish an overview of techniques, both those that are used operationally, and emerging methods (M3.1). The catalogue will be guided by stakeholder needs (T1.3) and include a comprehensive list of existing and emerging technologies for benthic observations, with detailed information on which platforms, sensors, and analysis methods can be used for different applications. Review of literature, as well as webpages for commercial services, to assess the whole range of different technologies used or potentially suitable for characterising sea birds, benthic fauna and carbon- and biodiversity-rich habitats (D3.1).

Review existing/emerging tech for pelagic observations (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Task 2.1. Reviewing existing and emerging technologies for pelagic observationsLead: CNRS, Participants: AU, AZTI, SYKE, CEFAS, HCMR, IFREMER, LUKE, RBINS, AWI, SZNReviewing the advantages, limitations, and the readiness of the technologies and the FAIRness of the data for the observation of EBVs, including their adaptability to platforms and their combination with EOVs (D2.1).

Blueprint of digital architecture (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Task 4.2. Development of digital architecture and processing chainsLead: NIVA, Participants: AU, AZTI, CEFAS, RBINS, DELTARESLinking data sources (WP2-3) with the tools developed in WP4 based on processing chains and information flows (T4.1). A common digital infrastructure for data processing algorithms and models will be developed on an open platform (M4.1). This includes prototyping or including in existing frameworks (e.g., EMODnet, OBIS, SeaDataNet) to ease exploitation and use after OBAMA-NEXT has ended. Developing a blueprint of the digital architecture to ensure that the algorithms developed and applied are open sourced and documented (D4.2). This iterative process involves validation and updating the toolboxes to match the shifting needs or non-viable algorithm applications detected through T4.3.

Initial product specification (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Task 1.2. Co-working and co-design processLead: AZTI; Participants: AU, SYKE, HCMR, ISPRA, UTARTU, IFREMER, CNRS, AWI, DELTARES, AAU, ScCFocus on gathering requirements, starting with an exploration phase, where the aims of the call are discussed, identify the problems to be addressed, share stakeholders’ needs and agree on the scope and specification of the information products (D1.1), including a prioritisation list for WP4 developments in the form of a periodically updated design catalogue. This phase will receive input from an online survey (M1.2), to be run prior to the kick-off meeting PAB workshop, calling for identifying the additional needs of an extended audience, to gather multiple and diverse views and foster early discussions of the PAB. In a subsequent conception phase, the PAB will co-work responses and solutions to their identified needs building on the complementary expertise of the group, making roles clear in the co-working process and safeguarding the commitment. Finally, the PAB will be challenged to reflect on feasibility of the action plan and data needs, as well as major risks and how to mitigate them. Structured participatory events will be set according to the inputs required by other WPs.

Data requirements key policies (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Task 6.1. Review and evaluation of EU and international policy requirements Lead: UNEP-WCMC Participants: AU, NIVA, AZTI, HCMR, ISPRA, CNRS, UTARTU, IOBAS, AAUIdentify target policies, directives and conventions (regional, EU and International) where information products can inform with respect to design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation (D6.1). This includes identifying complementary and synergetic data needs and the identification of biodiversity core data that underpin multiple policies, directives and convention implementation as well as gaps in required information. Additionally, a governance analysis will be performed to identify (together with WP1) the enabling and constraining conditions to implement results of the project in marine biodiversity policies.

Data Management Plan (öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Task 7.1. Open Science and data management coordination. Lead: AU, Participants: all. The Data Management Plan will be developed (D7.1) and implemented according to the FAIR principles. Review and internal communication of OA possibilities. One person at AU will be appointed with the specific responsibility of ensuring that all partners adhere to these principles.
