Project description
Developing a novel floating photovoltaic system
Renewable energy innovations are crucial in our attempt to slow down or stop climate change. However, novel technologies are necessary to fully replace emission-heavy and ecologically damaging energy sources. The EU-funded SUREWAVE project aims to offer one such innovation. It will develop a novel floating photo-voltaic system, allowing for expanded space and time of the operation. To achieve this, the project will also take necessary steps, including developing circular concrete material that will be cost-effective and production-efficient, running excessive testing to validate the system, and developing predictive computational modelling frameworks for managing structural health.
