Aiba is set to revolutionize chatroom moderation, ensuring the safety of children and teenagers from online predators and harmful content. With the digital world becoming an increasingly integral part of young lives, it also attracts those with malicious intent. By harnessing behavoiral insights, artifical intelligence and machine learning, Aiba is creating a proactive moderation service to tackle online grooming, toxicity, and the prevalence of fake profiles in online gaming and social media environments. Unlike the current manual and reactive moderation systems, our innovative SaaS solution operates in real-time. This enables chatroom moderators to identify and intervene in grooming conversations as they occur, preventing potential harm. Aiba heralds a new era of chatroom moderation, promising a safer online experience for young users globally.

Our main objectives in this project was to verify our business model by strengthen our direct sales method, recruit 1-3 more pilot customers to our platform and verify product-market-fit. At the end of the project we had signed 3 more pilot contracts and secured our first paying customers.
Over the course of our project, we undertook several critical tasks aimed at enhancing Aiba’s business strategies, increasing visibility, refining our business model, and documenting the impact of the support we received. Our journey began with updating our “Go to Market” strategy through a combination of mentoring and market analysis. We conducted comprehensive market analysis using methods such as 1-1 meetings, conferences, internet research, and leveraging our industry network. These activities provided valuable insights, which were further refined through mentoring sessions. As a result, we successfully updated our “Go to Market” strategy and value proposition, developed a robust customer database tool via HubSpot, and established essential connections with key customers and partners.

Next, we focused on market analysis through dialogue on digital and physical platforms to increase company visibility and test our product-market fit. We produced comprehensive market materials tailored for both digital and physical spaces and actively participated in industry conferences, meetups, and 1-1 meetings. These efforts significantly raised Aiba’s profile, establishing us as a key player in addressing cyber grooming and toxicity issues. Our targeted engagement with top industry players resulted in the creation of high-quality market materials and the establishment of valuable contacts with relevant pilot customers.

To ensure our product-market fit, we updated our business model through extensive market dialogue and mentoring. This involved verifying and refining Aiba’s value proposition, business model, and pricing strategy. We developed a profound understanding of industry challenges from the perspectives of gaming and social media companies by conducting multiple 1-1 meetings with industry leaders. This iterative process, coupled with continuous feedback from mentors, led to over 20 insightful meetings with industry experts, an updated and validated business model, several secured commercial agreements, and a comprehensive pricing strategy that aligns with industry standards.

The final task was to compile an evaluation report documenting how the funding, mentoring, and coaching empowered Aiba and its woman leader. We collected extensive data, conducted structured interviews with team members, mentors, coaches, and key stakeholders, and compiled a detailed evaluation report. This report highlighted the growth and empowerment experienced by the company and its leadership, showcasing the tangible benefits of the support received. The comprehensive evaluation demonstrated the success and impact of the project activities, providing a valuable tool for future planning and stakeholder communication.

The outcomes of these actions were multifaceted. Our enhanced market strategy and comprehensive market analysis positioned Aiba for successful market entry and expansion. Increased visibility and industry recognition established Aiba as a significant player in our niche, fostering industry engagement and potential partnerships. The refined business model and pricing strategy ensured a strong product-market fit, leading to commercial agreements and a competitive pricing approach. Lastly, the empowerment of our woman leader through mentoring and coaching enhanced her leadership skills and industry presence, contributing positively to the company’s overall growth and strategic direction. Overall, the project met its objectives, resulting in strengthened business strategies, increased market presence, validated business models, and empowered leadership, positioning Aiba for continued growth and success.
We formalized our collaboration with the Norwegian police during the project and we got access to insights and chat data regards to cyber grooming. We also got 200 million chat messages from our first customer which we have trained our models on. We have built all of thisinto our platform and the data and sights in this project will help us to further improve our safety platform to be more targeted so we can protect even more children and teenagers in digital communities.
