Social-emotional difficulties represent a major challenge for the years to come, with the rising prevalence of learning disabilities (autism represents 1 in 36 people), and the existing limited tools to enable the development of socio-emotional skills. The consequences are dramatic: 30 years of life expectancy less than the average and 90% unemployment for the autistic adults.
EMOFACE is an EdTech/MedTech startup, resulted from an R&D project with prestigious French Universities and INRIA. The technology enables children and adult populations with learning disabilities (e.g. autism) and social-emotional disorders to develop their emotional capabilities through adapted digital therapy journeys based on 3D avatars.
At EMOFACE we design and create a digital therapy toolkit, as a range of mobile applications. The applications are based on gamified educational activities based on the interaction with 3D animated avatars. The benefits of use for the patients are visible through an ability to develop socio-emotional skills and improved quality of life and social and professional interaction.
The objectives of our work plan consist in the validation of a business strategy for the reimbursement of our digital tools.
O.1 Validate and implement the operations necessary for user data regularization.
O.2 Validate the business model and strategy concerning reimbursement for Emoface Play&Learn Emotions as a medical device.
