Project description
Towards an inclusive and sustainable industrial sector
It is essential to promote equal representation and inclusion across all aspects of society. Achieving gender parity ensures that individuals of all genders have equal opportunities and access to resources, while diversity recognises the unique perspectives and talents that people from different backgrounds bring, fostering innovation and growth in various fields. Funded by the HORIZON programme, the DIO project aims to promote gender parity at DIOXYCLE, a company that develops cost-effective solutions for capturing and transforming industrial emissions into eco-friendly fuels and chemicals. DIOXYCLE technology offers energy and cost efficiency compared to using fossil fuels.
Objective
DIOXYCLE develops solutions to cost-efficiently capture and convert industrial CO2 into sustainable fuel and chemicals. By doing so, DIOXYCLE empowers industries to reduce their emissions in an economically viable way while offering sustainable alternatives to everyday commodities currently mainly produced from fossil resources such as carbon monoxide (CO, chemical precursor), ethylene (C2H4, plastics precursor) or ethanol (C2H5OH, fuel). DIOXYCLE is positioned as a technology and service provider and is focused on CO2 emissions from hard-to-abate sectors (such as chemicals, steel, energy production and cement).
