Report on 1D DISCO on long scaffolds [M25] Linked to Task 2.1 and 2.2. Description: Report on attempts to massively scale up 1D DISCO to tens and then hundreds of bits, with the ambitious goal of up to 1 kbit storage (e.g. 300 scaffold locations with 3 bits each). Detail attempted optimisations / choices of scaffold domain length, aiming for 10s, or even hundreds of locations, and detail unexpected problems that have arisen with this goal. Produce a variety of designs for storage/computing motifs, focusing on read, write and edit of stored bits.

Plan for communication and dissemination. Linked to Task 5.3. The draft plan for dissemination and communication activities (DCA) will be developed by month 6. The DCA plan will develop a strategy to effectively disseminate and communicate DISCO project results and outputs.

Report on Portfolio activities for reporting period 1. The report will present the collaboration activities that have been carried out in reporting period 1 and contain relevant materials (e.g., power point presentations, minutes of the meetings, etc.). It also explains how the Portfolio activities and the EIC proactive project management approach contribute to the achievement the project objectives and help the transition to market.The report will be submitted at the end reporting period 1 and will be assessed in the context of project’s review for the corresponding reporting period.
