Développer les technologies biosourcées dans l’agriculture et la sylviculture
La résilience climatique et l’atténuation accrue des émissions de gaz à effet de serre constituent des défis pour les secteurs agricole et forestier. Les groupes opérationnels (GO) du partenariat européen d’innovation agricole (PEI AGRI) encouragent les agriculteurs et d’autres parties prenantes à promouvoir l’innovation dans les domaines de l’agriculture et de la sylviculture. Le projet BBioNets, financé par l’UE, s’appuie sur les travaux des GO du PEI en matière de gestion et de traitement de la biomasse agricole et forestière grâce aux technologies biosourcées. Adoptant un modèle multi-acteurs et à quintuple hélice, BBioNets établira des réseaux forestiers et agricoles (FAN pour «forest and agriculture networks») dans six régions de l’UE. Les FAN identifieront les besoins locaux, donneront la priorité à des technologies biosourcées spécifiques et faciliteront le partage des connaissances et des pratiques avec les agriculteurs et les forestiers dans ce domaine. Cette approche renforcera les pratiques durables et placera l’Europe à la pointe de l’agriculture, de la sylviculture et de la bioéconomie.
Objectif
In response to the increasing need for grassroots initiatives and knowledge sharing to address major challenges such as climate resilience and increased mitigation of GHG emissions, while supporting zero waste and circular economy with biomass reuse, BBioNets will constitute a thematic network that will rely on, promote, and further advance the work carried out by EIP AGRI Operational Groups (OGs) with respect to management and/or processing of agricultural and forest biomass with Bio-Based Technologies (BBTs). Applying the quintuple helix model and a multi-actor approach both within the consortium itself and on the ground activities, BBioNets will set up 6 regional Forest and Agriculture Networks - FANs (IE, ES, IT, GR, PL, CZ) that will ensure balanced representation of all AKIS stakeholders. FANs will identify local needs and, through co-creation and joint actions, prioritise specific BBTs, benefit from and validate knowledge material developed by the consortium building on previous OG and EU-funded project results. They will assist BBioNets in sharing BBT knowledge ready for practice to farmers and foresters, boosting the (re)definition of value chains, stimulating cross-fertilisation beyond borders, and bringing Europe to the forefront of farming, forestry, and bioeconomy with economically viable and sustainable practices. BBioNets’s solid foundation and strength lies in its partners’ a) wide networks covering the Agriculture, Forestry and Bioeconomy world, b) long-established collaborations with OGs, c) extensive knowledge of bio-based technologies and solutions and d) long experience in awareness raising, knowledge transfer, capacity building, networking and value chain creation services.
