Project description
A new effort to unite scientific infrastructures
Global challenges like climate change and pandemics require coordinated research efforts, but fragmented infrastructures often hinder collaboration. To address this, the EU has launched the ICRI 2024 project under the Horizon Europe programme. Scheduled for December 2024 in Brisbane, Australia, this international conference focuses on enhancing research infrastructure globally. The event, organised by Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), aims to foster partnerships and innovative solutions to tackle pressing global issues. By bringing together experts from around the world, ICRI 2024 seeks to streamline and strengthen the collaboration needed to advance science and address the world’s most urgent challenges.
Objective
A proposal under the Horizon Europe - Work Programme 2023-2024 Research Infrastructures to deliver the International Conference on Research Infrastructures 2024 in Brisbane, Australia on 3-5 December 2024. The proposal is prepared by the event delivery partner, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia's national science agency.
