Periodic Reporting for period 1 - SPESAR (Space-based Presicion & Exact Surveillance with multilAteRation as a Service)

Berichtszeitraum: 2026-06-01 bis 2027-11-30

Zusammenfassung vom Kontext und den Gesamtzielen des Projekts

The SPESAR project addresses the needs of ANSPs for a long-term, resilient, global, cost-effective, serviceoriented and flexible ATC surveillance solution, offering an alternative to the current highly fragmented, often redundant, sensor-based solutions relying on multiple heterogeneous technologies.
The project builds upon the foundation available from its core partners’ extensive background, consolidated over several decades in the Space (Conventional and New Space) resp. ATM domains (Systems, and Services). It leverages a major “sister” initiative launched in 2023 by the European Space Agency (ESA) through the EURIALO project, and intends to go a step further towards the usage by ATM stakeholders.
