Obiettivo The objective of this project was to design a new distributed system for inspection and quality control in flexible manufacturing systems (DASIQ). DASIQ was to comprise three subsystems: inspection of surface finish, coarse dimensional control and high-precision inspection. The objectives were to: -design the system architecture and define the distributed subsystems and interfaces -design inspection subsystems capable of interfacing with most types of existing sensors for data acquisition and information processing -integrate already existing optical inspection techniques -provide diagnosis and alarms for the FMS management system, with special attention paid to the interfaces with CAD.
