Verwertbare Ergebnisse
The aim of SISSI is to translate software engineering into a competitive advantage in the market place. SISSI provides executives in software-producing organizations (both software vendors and companies developing software for in-house use) throughout Europe with tailored and condensed information according to their needs. To achieve this, SISSI collects a wide variety of practical real cases selected by the consultants of the consortium. These cases are selected from the finished Process Improvement Experiments (PIEs) funded by the EC ESSI program and documented in a friendly and didactic way to capture the interest of companies. Case studies have a clear business orientation and address both small and large companies. Overall, 50 real cases have been distributed to software organizations. They raise awareness among organizations of the reward that they can obtain by the efficient use of improved software processes and techniques. During the running of SISSI, the Espinode Network, with regional agents under the co-ordination of the CEC, proved to be the best way to address the SPI target market for a successful distribution of the SISSI Case studies, and additionally empower different dissemination events.
