Objetivo The main aim of the present proposal is to bring researchers involved in different researcher’s branches closer to the large public, without any distinction of age, gender, level of scientific training or social category. In general, the proposed action intends to oppose the stereotypes about researchers and their profession, giving the opportunity to perceive them as “ordinary people”. In Italy humanistic studies are still preferred to scientific ones. This is a hindering point for the development of research and technology and for the competitiveness of the country and of Europe as well. Therefore, showing researchers “from inside”, stressing his/her “ordinary” features could help in attracting people to scientific careers and rise the perception of the role of researchers in our society. Last year NITLAB was the EU researcher’s night event of Milan and it was successful. This year NITLAB-2 event is proposed. The University of Milan is the coordinator of the project, like as Researcher’s night 2008, with the partnership of the Planetarium of Milan and the Museum of Natural History of Milan. Multiple laboratories activities on paleontology, biology and astrophysics will be organised. Munari’s association, which has developed an international method to combine art and science suggesting activities to the children that can reproduce easily at home, will participate to NITLAB-2 event. Since 2009 is the International Year of Astrophysics special activities, proposed for the first time in Italy, will be organise on the last frontiers of Astrophysics. Drama, buffet, music will give an informal atmosphere. The event will be organised in the beautiful park located in the centre of the city accessible by the subway and close to the Planetarium of Milan, one of the oldest in Europe, and to the Natural History Museum of Milan. The organisers do believe that this is a wonderful place to attract people. Poster competition will be launched and the winners will receive an award Palabras clave Astrophysics Biology Paleontology art laboratory microscopy science Programa(s) FP7-PEOPLE - Specific programme "People" implementing the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Community for research, technological development and demonstration activities (2007 to 2013) Tema(s) FP7-PEOPLE-2009-NIGHT - Marie Curie Action: "Researchers' Night 2009" Convocatoria de propuestas FP7-PEOPLE-2009-NIGHT Consulte otros proyectos de esta convocatoria Régimen de financiación CSA-SA - Support actions Coordinador UNIVERSITA DEGLI STUDI DI MILANO Aportación de la UE € 29 000,00 Dirección Via Festa Del Perdono 7 20122 Milano Italia Ver en el mapa Región Nord-Ovest Lombardia Milano Tipo de actividad Higher or Secondary Education Establishments Contacto administrativo Stefania Varotto (Ms.) Enlaces Contactar con la organización Opens in new window Sitio web Opens in new window Coste total Sin datos
