Obiettivo
We propose to investigate several aspects of the long-time behaviour of stochastic Ising models at low and zero temperature that are presently poorly understood, especially for disordered systems. The goal of the proposed research is to further our understanding of out-of-equilibrium dynamics, in particular, to elucidate various stochastic relaxation mechanisms. Stochastic Ising models at low temperature are studied very actively, but many questions remain open, especially for disordered systems.
My goal is to participate in some of the projects that are running within the Interacting Stochastic Systems (ISS) group at EURANDOM, Eindhoven, the Netherlands, under the supervision of Prof. F den Hollander, as well as to continue working along the lines of research that I started at the Courant Institute for Mathematical Sciences, New York, USA, under the supervision of my thesis adviser Prof. C.M. Newman, and that I extended during my stay at the ETH, Zürich, Switzerland, under the supervision of Prof. A.- S. Sznitman.
