Final Report Summary - INNOSTORAGE (USE OF INNOVATIVE THERMAL ENERGY STORAGE FOR MARKED ENERGY SAVINGS AND SIGNIFICANT LOWERING OF CO2 EMISSIONS)
The research scheme considered the expertise and capabilities of each partner and also the possibility of creating new synergies among them. It was implemented through 7 work packages covering the objectives of new materials, with special emphasis to cost, and the characterization of their thermophysical properties. It also covered the modelling of materials and systems, and their applications in industry and in PCM in construction elements. The developed exchanged program included visits of experts and ESRs in all the work packages with the overall aim of extending, enhancing and strengthening the established collaboration among the INNOSTORAGE partners, increasing the individual mobility and career prospects of each researcher. These exchanges involved a transfer of knowledge at different levels and training opportunities for ESRs searching the future scientific development of the groups through their involvement in projects relevant for future experiments. During the project 42 exchanges with a total amount of 80.5 months (58M from Europe and 23M to Europe) were carried out, 33.5M by experienced researchers, 39M by ESR, 6M by management personnel, and 2M by lab technicians.
The dissemination and communication activities were also important. Therefore, 3 training schools were organised, one international conference, and the project participated in two researchers’ nights (2016 and 2017).
