Integration results

Final summary of the integration of the functionalities considered in the Wi-5 architecture.

Evaluation results

Final summary of the results obtained from the tests developed in the WP. The results will be measured in terms of the objectives of the Call, bandwidth, spectrum usage, energy, EMF reduction; in addition, subjective quality (QoE) will be considered.

Wi-Fi optimisation solutions roadmap

We provide a roadmap showing the need for optimisation as experienced by the user over time versus the optimisation offered by the various proposed technologies, including Wi-5.

Specification of Smart AP solutions version 1

This document will include a first definition of the mechanisms to be included in the Wi-5 APs to perform dynamic channel allocation, load balancing and power control. It will also include a definition of the policies to be employed when using packet grouping between the AP and the end device, as defined in 802.11n and 802.11ac. The integration with the coordination entities of Wi-5 architecture, and the interface with performance monitoring mechanisms will also be defined.

Viability of business models for multi-operator Wi-Fi coordination platforms

This deliverable analyses current business models for Wi-Fi network operations, and the business models presumed by other Wi-Fi optimisation schemes as proposed in the literature. We will compare the results with the business model assumed by Wi-5.

Specification of Cooperative Access Points Functionalities version 2

Second version of the cooperative Access Points functionalities that includes early validation results of cooperative radio resource management architecture, wireless hand-over, and smart wireless connectivity.

Definition of the performance monitoring mechanisms

This document will include a definition of the mechanisms that will be included in the Wi-5 APs with the aim of monitoring their performance in terms of interference level; channel load seen at each available channel in the interesting frequency bands; number of clients associated with an AP; amount of data passing through each AP; and the type of service of the automatically detected flows. The interfaces to be used by the AP features in order to get this information will also be defined.
