Volume Manufacturing of PEM FC Stacks for Transportation and In-line Quality Assurance

Risultati finali

Dissemination and knowledge management protocol

Task 7.1 - Providing and maintaining a knowledge management plan through a Project Knowledge Management and Dissemination Protocol so all information to be communicated or disseminated will be managed by the project partners, and will receive the agreement of the Project Steering Committee to protect the intellectual property rights, confidentiality and the legitimate interests of the partners

Updated report on stack component requirements derived and agreed amongst component and stack development partners

Task 2.1 - Jointly derived by BMW and Daimler, the stack component requirements will be agreed and cascaded down from the stack requirements with the component manufacturers.

Project Website

Task 7.2 - Launch of a dedicated project website promoting the project activities through information including the project objectives, partner backgrounds, updates on project outcome, project meetings, project public deliverables, news items

Dissemination and Communication bundle

Task 7.3 - A package of visual identity tools, at least two news updates on industrial partners' websites, 2 editions of the annual newsletter, at least 2 communications at technical fairs, at least 1 published international journal article, and at least 2 presentations at international conferences

Survey of dissemination activities and final plan for dissemination and exploitation of project results

Task 7.3 - Assessment of the projects dissemination and exploitation activities, ensuring the highest visibility of the project final results.

Production process and quality control methodology for plate manufacture

Task 5.2/3 - Adaption and verification of a component quality control technology and equipment to meet volume production requirements and to understand typical manufacturing process variation. Establish manufacturing processes in terms of yield and cost, reducing scrap and ensuring maximized utilization of high value in-coming materials. Identification of manufacturing failure modes and implementation of manufacturing control plans. Establish a methodology for an end-of-line test within a volume production process. Establish a QC methodology for volume manufacture addressing tolerances, yield, product consistency and inspection protocols as well as acceptance standards.

Updated report on stack requirements provided for further component analysis

Task 2.1 - Jointly derived by BMW and Daimler in their role on the projects advisory board, the stack level requirements will be defined using a systems engineering approach.

Updated report on stack component test scope and procedures

Task 2.2 - The test and validation scope and procedures, defined by the project OEMs, to be used to make sure that resulting stack and selected components are suitable for automotive applications.

Project shared workspace implemented and operational

Task 1.3 - Creation of the project shared workspace to be used for document sharing and archiving of project materials.

Test and validate short stack that meets 2,5 A/cm2 @ 0,6 V

Task 2.3 - Completion of tests scoped to confirm performance targets at short stack level, where capability to meet automotive drive cycle durability is demonstrated.
