Measurement campaigns and initial channel models for preferred suitable frequency ranges

D2.1 will contain a plan of channel measurement activities targeted in mmMAGIC and describe the first measurement campaigns. Initial channel models will be specified as input for WP3-WP5, mainly based on available work in the literature and the most recent results from related projects.

Initial multi-node and antenna transmitter and receiver architectures and schemes

D5.1 will provide initial proposals on multi-node and multi-antenna (very large) transmission and receptions schemes w/o and w/ coordination/cooperation for access, backhaul self-backhaul.

1st Dissemination and exploitation report

D6.4 will comprise of so far produced contributions, a dissemination plan update, and an initial report on all dissemination activities performed towards regulation and standardization, including guidance for dissemination towards these fora in the rest of the project.

D2.2 will summarize the work of WP2, including the description of all conducted measurement campaigns, the results on channel characterisation, specific mm-wave channel models and the 3D reference channel model for link- and system-level evaluations

"D1.4 will summarize the outcome of the spectrum investigation, provide an overview of the relevant mm-wave use cases and demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed radio interface concept. This deliverable will be used as input to ITU-R Working Party 5D meeting #26 or #27 in 2017."

Final Dissemination and exploitation report

D6.5 will include all the dissemination activities, a patent activities report (this part will not be made public) and a report on all activities performed towards regulation and standardization during the project’s lifetime, and their achievements assessed against the guidance provided in the interim report

Use cases characterization, KPIs and preferred suitable frequency ranges for future 5G systems between 6 GHz and 100 GHz

D1.1 will summarize the results of the scenarios, KPIs and spectrum investigations carried out in T1.1 and T1.2. Two versions of the document will be prepared: • version 1.0 (CO): to be used as input to WP2, WP3, WP4, WP5, WP6 (M01). • version 2.0 (PU): to be presented at meeting with Advisory Board (M05).

Preliminary radio interface concepts for mm-wave mobile communications

D4.1: Preliminary radio interface concepts for mm-wave mobile communications (M12) D4.1 will describe the preliminary design of the radio interface concept including waveform, channel codes, frame structure and numerology, and efficient access schemes. Furthermore, the initial setup of HIL platform as well as the initial selection of promising technologies.

Initial concepts on 5G architecture and integration

D3.1 will propose concepts and present initial assessment for 5G network architecture scenarios (T3.1), inter-RAT and inter-access node coordination (T3.2) and scalable deployments based on wireless backhaul/fronthaul interfaces (T3.3)

Evaluations of the concepts for the 5G architecture and integration

D3.2 will include final evaluations for the concepts proposed in D3.1 (including architectural limitations and refined energy and cost efficiency analysis described in IR3.2)

Final multi-node and multi-antenna transmitter and receiver architectures and schemes

D5.2 will provide final proposals on multi-node and multi-antenna (very large) transmission and receptions schemes w/o and w/ coordination/cooperation for access, backhaul self-backhaul and advanced multi-node cooperation.

Final radio interface concepts and evaluations for mm-wave mobile communications

D4.2 will describe the final design and evaluation of the radio interface concept including waveform, channel codes, frame structure and numerology, and efficient access schemes. Furthermore, the HIL evaluation results will be reported.

Project website

The mmMAGIC public website will be set up , contributing to visibility of the project and effective dissemination of its achievements and results. The website will be regularly updated in accordance with the project’s progress, and will contain project and partner’s description, public deliverables (after approval by the consortium and the EC), white papers, project presentations, and scientific publications from the project.
