Converged Heterogeneous Advanced 5G Cloud-RAN Architecture for Intelligent and Secure Media Access

Leistungen

D5.2 Project Dissemination Plan

A detailed plan describing the designated dissemination activities of the single partners in the CHARISMA consortium.

D2.5 CHARISMA e2e v-security architecture

This deliverable will give an overview on the distributed security architecture that is a main new feature within the CHARISMA architecture that enables low latency, besides providing the higher speed required for 5G deployments. The focus will be on the key distribution protocol based on SDN, and the implementation of the encryption and decryption functions. Finally, the interaction and possible integration with the widely deployed IPSec protocol will be described.

D2.6 Role of impairments when using physical layer security

This deliverable will describe options for the integration of physical layer security to support for a large numbers of sensors, actuators and thus machines into the secure cloud-RAN/access network architecture developed in CHARISMA. The deliverable will describe the different principles and compare the impact of essential impairment effects onto the symmetric key generation based on channel reciprocity. The deliverable will be coordinated with WP3, as it shall be clarified if and when in what manner physical layer security can be integrated into the overall security architecture.

D2.1 CHARISMA Initial Architecture Design and Interfaces

This deliverable will focus on the initial outcomes of the activities performed within all the WP2 tasks, including the PHY layer design, the CPE design, and the end-to-end v-security functional architecture. The deliverable will then be updated by means of the following WP2 deliverables in the second and third year.

D5.4 Roadmapping to CHARISMA and 5G networking

This deliverable has the goal to present the efforts towards understanding the future potential of CHARISMA solution and 5G networking. Towards this direction, a series of surveys designed based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) wiil be conducted and answered by several experts from the consortium in an attempt to evaluate different scenarios. The surveys will also be used in order to evaluate the effect of several factors (economic, social and performance related) in the deployment of 5G networking. Interviews and focus groups data will also reveal the barriers that may limit 5G development.

D6.2 Management guidelines and Data Management Plan

This document will summarize information about project organization, communication among partners, project reporting means and tools, organization of deliverables and reports, financial management, quality procedures to be adopted by all participants

D5.3 Standardisation and 5GPPP liaison activities Plan

Roadmap for CHARISMA’s contributions to standardisation and exploitation in order to plan and keep track of the project’s inputs to standardization and other 5GPPP programs. In the roadmap procedure, targeted standardisation bodies, fora, work groups and 5GPPP project will be defined.

D4.2 Demonstrators infrastructure setup and validation

Reporting of the demonstrators’ evaluation and validation results yield from tests run over the experimental infrastructure. Provide best practices and lessons learnt in order to support of end-to-end security in future access infrastructures.

D4.1 Demonstrators design and prototyping

Description of the Demonstrators design and prototyping.

D3.2 Initial 5G multi-provider v-security realization: Orchestration and Management

The report will consist of the initial report of the v-security implementation, including both the v-security solution and the dynamic orchestrator and management plane as the outcome of tasks T3.2 and T3.3.

D1.2 Refined architecture definitions and specifications

Taking new knowledge gained from WP2, WP3, WP4 and WP5, a refined architecture with technology and interface specifications will be developed. The refinement will have a particular focus on implementation challenges of the CHARISMA already identified in the other WPs and describe solutions how they can be met.

D1.1 CHARISMA intelligent, distributed low-latency security C-RAN/RRH architecture

Using various scenarios (from CHARISMA, as well as other project, e.g. iCIRRUS), an architecture definition with initial performance specifications will be made. This will be used to feed into the activities of WP2 and WP3, the initial planning for the validation setups in WP4, and the business planning/techno-economics of WP5.

D5.5 Business model analysis report

The objective of this deliverable is to ensure that the CHARISMA concept is based on a solid business model from different players’ perspectives. The factors that influence the business success of the project will be identified and the business prospects will be evaluated in order to ensure that the developments of CHARISMA have an economic potential. The deliverable will provide the necessary market concept that is required to be clear for the development of the CHARISMA solution.

D3.3 Initial Content Caching and Traffic Handling at SW regex integration

Deliverable D3.3 comprehends the initial content caching and traffic solution developed in T3.4.

D1.3 CHARISMA hierarchical routing node design

The specifications and node dimensioning for the low-latency TrustNode architecture from T1.3 for optimised low-latency and v-security operation will be described, with reference to the physical layer and subsystem results of WP2 and the test-bed/field-trial specifications from WP4.

D5.6 Technoeconomic analysis report

The purpose of this deliverable is to describe and document the final results and guidelines of the techno-economic activity within CHARISMA entity. Demand and pricing models for new and existing services will be proposed. In addition to the financial and economic analysis of CHARISMA business cases, sensitivity and risk analyses will be carried out in order to incorporate technology and market risks and to derive strategic guidelines for the success of CHARISMA (and/or 5G) solution.

D3.1 V-Security Management Plane Design and Definition

This deliverable will include the functional design of the v-security management plane, including both the definition of the building blocks and the associated interfaces.

D6.1 Project Presentation

This deliverable is a public description of the project in terms of main goals, key issues, technical approach and achievements. It is intended for publication on the Websites of the Commission and the project.

D3.4 Intelligence-driven v-security, including content caching and traffic handling

This deliverable will include the integrated report of all the activities of work package three including the three on-going tasks during the second year.

D4.3 Validation field and test results and analysis evaluations

Provides the final results analysis of test-beds and field-trials, and conclusions of validation against the 5G-PPP KPIs.

D2.2 CHARISMA PHY Design and Interfacing

This deliverable describes the main physical layer innovations contributed to the secure cloud-RAN/access infrastructure developed in the CHARISMA project. It contains an overview of the architecture as well as specifications and test setups for the 100G PON, the 10G wireless link and the v-CPE. Moreover, the role of new security features, such as distributed e2e v-security and physical layer security will be stated more precisely. The deliverable will be used to feed into the activities of WP3 and WP4, and the initial planning for the validation setups in WP5.

D5.1 CHARISMA web site, social network pages, open access server and mailing lists

The purpose of the website is to keep the public, project participants and the European Commission informed about the project. The project website has a public part and a restricted part reserved only for the consortium members. The consortium will continuously measure the number of public website visitors and post the latest news in the CHARISMA Blog. Furthermore, the required mailing lists and pages/accounts in social networks will also be created.

D3.5 Final 5G v-security prototype

This final deliverable will release the prototype of the 5G v-security concept implement at the management plane level. The prototype will consist of: (i) the dynamic orchestrator, (ii) the virtualised security functions; and (iii) the content caching and traffic handling solution at the ARN node.
