Initial control paradigms implemented on HandArm perturbator

Delivery of energy-based control strategies and corresponding control and software architectures, which are ported to and used in the devices developed in the other tasks, with special focus on the Shoulder Elbow Perturbator (SEP), to investigate Human Robot Interaction (HRI).

Distributed kinematic sensing of postural synergies

Delivery of distributed inertial movement sensing systems and techniques for shoulder, upper, lower arm, hand and fingers, at the level of multisegmental body movements as well as of deformations of individual segments.

Unilateral, body-mounted, robotic arm

Delivery of wearable device(s) for the arm that provide(s) improved ergonomics and comfort and combine the benefits of robotic aid automated rehabilitation with the natural execution of physiotherapy regimes as performed by the medical personnel. The device(s) will integrate the sensing developments from artificial to natural and vice versa in WP2 and WP3 and will incorporate state feedback sensing and estimation as well as biofeedback modalities.
