A final report on dissemination and exploitation will be produced by USTAN to summarise the research outputs, successes of the Web Portal, and the methods to maximise the Impact of the project.

Final report on Sustainability in community museums

Final Report on the characterization of sustainable conditions in the case studies and recommendations. Inform on the participative analysis of Guidelines to build “Integral museums” based on the reality of the museums in the region of Los Rios in the 21st century.

Participatory analysis report

Report on the participative analysis/workshop on transfer and training in the use of new technologies and scientific cooperation in order to strengthen integration and information flow between communal museums - chosen cases - and universities/museums of the EU-LAC Museum Consortium.

Report on 3D Workshops

St Andrews will facilitate workshops in community museums in all countries participating in the project, teaching family and community members to create 3D scans of museum objects (“community icons”) using photogrammetry. These activities will encourage inter-generational engagement with local museums, and increase technical know-how and transferable skills for young people living and working in remote communities.

Final Report Technology in Chile's community museums

Final Inform systematization of the retrieved information; installation of hardware and applications (fixed and mobile) for the interconnection and flow of information in the museums that form the network of museums in the region of Los Rios. Critical and participative analysis of the results and expectations.

Report on community facilitators exchange workshop

Report prepared by MNCR. This community facilitators exchange workshop will bring together community representatives and facilitators from different countries in Central America, and at least one person from Mexico, to discuss the experiences and proposals for programs involving youth in community museums. The deliverable will be a document summarizing the discussion, that would be useful to orient policy in developing collaborative relationships with diverse institutions to further these initiatives with youth groups. The meeting will consider the EU-LAC youth network, learn more about it, and propose a concrete initiative on how to collaborate.

Report on UWI Conference held in month 33

Project conference to be held in Barbados scheduled for month 33. Organised by the University of the West Indies Work Package. The deliverable will be evidence in the form of the web presence (call for papers etc), followed by in month 35 a report/evaluation of the international conference, including number of delegates, planned dissemination of papers, etc.

Document Method of Evaluation of Cultural Heritage

Document of Method of Evaluation of the Cultural Heritage (M.E.C.H), integral and global, consensual and practical, which will be considered an instrument of great use to researchers, technicians and managers.The design will be set up as an effective training in decision-making for politicians, museum workers, technicians and academics who intend to manage heritage. They will then apply this to their own specific circumstance: heritage, social participation and exogenous criteria. It will be applied to patrimonial elements, to a territorial patrimonial system and to cultural landscapes.

Report on Roundtable of Santiago and Sustainability

Inform on the analysis of the Round Table of Santiago. Analysis and definition of the instruments to register and for the characterization of sustainability.

Document of Model of Owned Strategic Planning

Document of Model of Owned Strategic Planning developed by the University of Valencia in consultation with the partner museums. sites, containing technical diagnosis, integrated diagnostics, plans and strategic lines, obtainable results, and system of indicators.

Final Report: Guidelines on 'Integral Museums'

Final report on Guidelines to build “Integral museums” based on the reality of the museums in the region of Los Rios and case studies in LAC (Peru and Costa Rica) and EU (Portugal, Valencia, Scotland) in the 21st century.

Review of region of the rivers network and case studies

Inform on the integral characterisation and systematisation of the comparable data and historical precedence of the network of Museums in the region of Los Rios and the selected case studies. The report will be made publicly accessible.

Development of a software application

Development of a software application, in a GIS environment, enabling the development of automatic mapping and the availability of an instrument for territorial analysis, the thematic maps.the design will be applied to the cultural heritage. UVEG will proceed to the elaboration of territorial databases (geo-referenced) and the application of the GIS to the territorial system of heritage. The territorial method of the heritage will be incorporated. The method of evaluation of the cultural heritage will be incorporated. It will develop a graphic symbology, iconography and symbolism adapted to the object of the cartographic representation, and the cultural heritage.

Exhibition in Lisbon on Community Icons

The exhibition will be a mix of panels, 3D objects and virtual/augmented reality. The main goal of the exhibition is to show how different community icons are simultaneously the social expression of a belief system common to all communities.

Logotype; Flyer and Press Release on project. A project logo will be created suited to different uses and media. It will be particularly useful for the web portal, printed editions, oral presentations, promotional postcards, digital and physical exhibitions, and will be used by all partners.

Folk Festival in Costa Rica

A Folk Festival will be held in Costa Rica 12 September 2018 to celebrate community museums in Costa Rica in partnership with those in Europe. The festival will coincide with similar festivals taking place throughout the museos comunitarios network.It will be recorded for the project Web Portal.

Manual on 3D

St Andrews will facilitate workshops in community museums in all countries participating in the project, teaching family and community members to create 3D scans of museum objects (“community icons”) using photogrammetry. The manual will be provided in English and Spanish, and will be designed to be very user-friendly. The main body of the exhibition includes the branding and graphic design of the global project. Each partner will be asked to provide some audiovisual materials such as tablets, and to provide access to a wireless connection in order to ensure the interactivy with communities through our technological innovations.

Curating Migration and Diaspora exhibition

This component will collectively investigate the impact of migration and the resulting cultural diasporas on the field of contemporary visual art curatorship in particular. It will be underpinned by a consideration of the increasing prevalence of new media technologies both as a tool for communication, a mechanism for identity construction and as a medium for art. The exhibition will be co-curated between UWI and USTAN. The lead partner will construct both the briefs, the contracts, and will engage in the development of appropriate partnerships and programmes to give effect to their rationale.

Document of Model of Integral Management

Document of Model of Integral Management (M.I.M.) of cultural heritage, and in particular of the museums containing the lines of work that characterise its management: research, conservation, rehabilitation and recovery, scientific and general dissemination; restitution, and the enhancement.

Web Portal online

Web Portal for the project, provided with three access levels: a. Open access (public access); b. Restricted access to each member in its respective area (consortium access); c. Restricted access to the direction of the project (webmaster access). This Portal will act as the communication platform: all users will have access to the materials produced by different partners. It will also be a place to share and discuss ideas about community museums and the way to disseminate objects, traditions and activities selected by and representing each community.

Flyer and Information Panel (poster) project; Brochure Project; Objects Leaflet (MNA) The three deliverables above will be didactic materials produced in digital and / or printed form. Where appropriate, these products will be designed to contain contents generated by augmented reality resources, and accessible by mobile phones. All materials will use the same graphic design, and will take into consideration the elements named in the project model (Figure 3), including: Presentation of each partner’s activities and museum networks; Iconic objects of each community; Legends and folk tales; Family albums; Testimonials (life cycles, identity values, etc.); Migratory movements. A leaflet will be of traditional Portuguese community icons such as horseshoes, crossed fingers and protective holy medals will be produced. A brief time-space context of each object and the origin of the belief that lead the community to consider that object as an icon will be part this leaflet’s context. With this dissemination product we intend to show the Portuguese community icons, share them and compare them to others from different countries around the world.

Final Project website/presentation

Present Database on Relevant Research: Develop (in cooperation with work package 2) people-related database collection arising from the conference, declarations and other materials relating to the conference for further use by the Consortium Participants. The database on research findings will be presented to the public, to the Commission and made available to Open Access

Development of an app (application) for mobile phones, featuring the main aims of the project.This app will generally include short descriptions of the involved partners and community museums, their tangible and intangible heritage, object icons and major landmarks. Youtube videos created where appropriate. verification: www. registering.

Dissemination events

Dissemination of research findings, including in Trujillo and Lambayeque. Presentation of the projects and its results both in events in Lima, Trujillo and Lambayeque within the specialists of the culture area, press and society. The results of the model for a long-term sustainability aim to be presented and be assumed by the authorities as well as by public measures.

Publication on Peru Case Study

Publication on research findings from the project, being an Edition of the Ministry of Culture and PUCP. Publically accessible and uploaded to the Web Portal.

Multimedia AV documentary produced (Portugal)

Production of a multimedia AV documentary (MNA) In order to produce new knowledge, and to leave a legacy for future generations, it is considered that the production of a multimedia documentary will be of special interest. The documentary has the following goals: To present different community museums in EU and LAC; To show their environments (natural and cultural); To document testimonies from people in their communities; To record intangible heritage manifestations; To provide the opportunity to share intangible heritage from different parts of the world using the motto : “We are the world community”.

Facebook; Twitter

Facebook and Twitter accounts will be set up for the project Web Portal. The extensive use of these and other possible social media, presumably originated in the course of the project, will be crucial, since the project is anchored in small communities, and this strongly recommends the recourse to technologies close to everyday life in peripheral environments.

Edited recording of festivals finalised for Web Portal

AV legends and research into folk tales will have been received from all partner countries, and uploaded to the web portal for public access.

Travelling exhibition - Migration and Memory

Creation and circulation of travelling exhibition on Migration and Memory – installed in first LAC venue.a. Development of exhibition brief based on materials generated from 2 and 3 above; b. Recruitment and contracting of consultant curatorial services and exhibition designer; c. Commissioning of modular exhibition systems; d. Establishment of partnership/contract for transportation services; e. Scheduling of exhibition programme, deployment of exhibition and development of pedagogical materials.

Report, Booklet and Education Pack on mobility of youth: achievements; resolutions

A report will be produced on the achievements and resolutions of the youth project and exchange. It will contain data from all youth groups involved from Costa Rica, Scotland and Portugal. The report is not the end of their collaboration, which will be kept alive through social media / email and so on. A booklet of testimonies and photographs of youth project will also be collated, drawing primarily from records kept by the young people documenting their experiences. The booklet will include work carried out in the museums, and also life experiences drawn from the project, new skills gained and so on. The education pack will be a legacy from the project for use in future bi-regional exchange programmes. It will draw on what has been learnt from the programme, integrating elements of the Museos Communitarios workshops, and emphasising the role of new media and museums.

Legacy impact evaluation study on youth exchange

Legacy impact evaluation study – covering questions such as: where are the young people now, what they are doing, has this changed their lives, how are their community museums faring. Has the project affected policy and practice in host museum organisations, and further afield? Has it assisted in professional development of museum staff involved?

Plan of communication, dissemination, implementation

Elaboration of a Plan of communication and dissemination of the different documents/models developed in the project (4 documents), and its subsequent implementation.

Compendium of Sustainable Community Museums

Production of a digital and printed booklet (about 50 pages), enabling the use of augmented reality via mobile phones. (MNA) This booklet is previewed to contain: Community Museums and Sustainable Museums: basic concepts; Recommendations for the creation of Community Museums and Sustainable Museums; Best practice examples in Europe and Latin America / Caribbean; To learn more: reference texts and literature orientation.

Brochure Community Museums in Portugal

Production of contents for the Web Portal from from MNA: a brochue specifically on the Portuguese case study, including: Social development and archaeological community landmarks; Community and sustainable museums: Portuguese and European paradigmatic examples; Community icons: Portuguese selected examples; Family, leaders and migrants’ stories: Portuguese selected examples (documents and interviews); From slavery to the abolition of the death penalty: Portugal and America, a history of giving and receiving (Illustrated text); Folk seasonal festivities: the world seen through masks.

"Folk festival in Lisbon ""We are the World Community"""

Organization of a Folk Festival in Lisbon in line with the project motto: “We are the world community”. This Festival will be open to the general public, with the goal of engaging members of different communities in EU and LAC. All project festivals will be digitized and made visible on the Web Portal, and advertised through ICOM International Museums Day. They will interchange and show: Museum activities promoting the knowledge and sustainability of their communities; Traditional stories and legends by storytellers; Other intangible heritage manifestations, like music or theatre; Traditional gastronomy, with sampling of local products.
