JobCity: addressing global youth unemployment by revolutionising psychometrics to enable Multiple Mass Psychometric Testing (MMPT) through online gamification

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - JobCity (JobCity: addressing global youth unemployment by revolutionising psychometrics to enable Multiple Mass Psychometric Testing (MMPT) through online gamification)

Periodo di rendicontazione: 2015-09-01 al 2016-02-29

Linkko Partners Limited (LPL) is a psychometric, analytical and career matching software solutions company.

The purpose of this feasibility study was to review channels to market for LPL’s software both in Europe and the United States, confirm specifications and testing protocols for second stage product prototyping, elaborate the requirements of a UK

Government Pilot of LPL’s software and conduct market surveys with key stakeholders and target demographics. The feasibility study identified a number of drawbacks to our previous marketing strategy, particularly with the way European regions and US states procure services or products for the education and unemployment sector. It also highlighted an unnecessary layer of complexity to product prototyping and development.

During the course of the feasibility study LPL, in conjunction with our EASME Innovation coach, has developed a new business model to deliver the JobCity System in the UK, EU and U.S. and established a quicker route to first revenue, with a much larger target market. Through development, measurement, testing and trialing we have adapted our business, technical and operational strategies.

Before the feasibility study, it was anticipated that LPL would primarily market its products directly to public sector facilitators in the EU & U.S. alongside the UK DWP. Whilst LPL still intends to provide its services to EU and U.S. public sector facilitators and will continue to pursue procurement in both territories, our new simpler business model has opened up significant further sales opportunities.

Our new business model means that we can now support 3 primary sales channels with the same core product, using bulk and single user licensing:
1) Government dept. careers & unemployment services
2) Master Licensee holders who will target their own territories and/or market sector
3) Direct retail sales to concerned parents seeking early signposting of career guidance or help for young unemployed.

This model will enable LPL to generate revenues much sooner than if we were solely focused on public sector procurement.
Work package 1 Feasibility Study
Task 1.1 Channel to market review – EU public sector facilitator search
Task 1.2 Channel to market review – US Council of American States in Europe (CASE)
Task 1.3 Second stage JobCity prototype study & specification
Task 1.4 Elaboration of the Pilot study requirements
Task 1.5 Conduct market surveys
Our new sales channel model does not restrict our ability to target our pre feasibility channels but enhances it with a much simpler pipeline structure, managed by Master Licensees. In addition it dramatically reduces the complexity of software development and delivery to the customer. We believe both of these changes have greatly contributed to a more robust business plan with much higher prospect of a successful commercialisation and increased ROI.
