Obiettivo

The aim of this research work is to explore the possibility of using electromagnetic forces to contain liquid metal in the mould during continuous strip casting. The project aims to study two methods, one of complete lateral containment by induced currents and one of lateral containment only of the seepage by direct current at specific places in the mould. The ultimate aim is to totally replace the side plate containment.
