Obiettivo

The object of the research is a quantitative description of the conditions in smelting reduction processes where slag foaming takes place. This can cause operational problems. The behaviour of basicity modifiers like CaO, which can influence the foaming tendency, will be tested and a physical model for controlling the foam depth is envisaged.
