Obiettivo This project will explore the influence of alloying or residual elements on the adhesion of scale on strip steel and, hence, to evaluate their effect on descaling properties. A simple mechanical test for use at high temperatures will be developed to quantitatively predict the effect of alloying/residual elements on scale/metal adhesion. The project will also develop and build on research results from 7210.KB/809 which only considered low carbon steels.
